Funding for Options Program released!

The Patrick Administration has released the funds approved by the legislature last July for the ch. 211 Pre-admission counseling to help ensure access to consumers seeking relevant information about their long-term care options. ILCNSCA has been part of the the test for this program over the past year and a half through our Aging and Disability Resource Consortium of the Greater North Shore (ADRC of GNS) http://adrcgns.org/.

With the release of these funds ILCNSCA will continue to provide the Options Program services through this year and next fiscal year, and work with our partners to expand the program beyond a small part of our twenty five municipalities.

Greater Lynn Senior Services has been the lead on this program. Those who are at Union Hospital and Salem Hospital along with the rehabilitaiton and nursing homes in Danvers, Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Salem, Saugus and Swampscott communities were included in the test area.

With this  release of this funding, very soon there will be expansion to all twenty five municipalities served by the ADRC of GNS, in which ILCNSCA is a key leader.

This program, Long Term Care Options,  will work with the other lead  ADRC of GNS agencies: SeniorCare, North Shore Elder Services, Mystic Valley Elder Services, Elder Services Plan of the North Shore to reach out to those at the other hospitials, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes and municipalities.
