Eligible customers will be transported to employment locations that are not served by MBTA bus or rail service. Pick-up and drop-off locations will be within the boundaries of Danvers, Peabody and Salem.

Mobility Managers will provide customers with travel options, trip planning, and travel training (as needed).

Old & Bold Anniversary Celebration

The Old & Bold Coalition invites you to the beautiful home of John Archer, 10 North Street, Danvers, December 9, 2010, 6:00-8:00 p.m to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of bringing together seniors, allies, providers, and community members interested in issues of aging for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) seniors on the North Shore.

Please consider bringing a donation of a non-perishable food item or warm winter clothing; mittens, hats, scarves, or small personal care items.  All donated items will be shared with the homeless and/or local food pantries.

Free Legal Advice for Veterans

The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA)  is offering a toll free number as part of its Veterans Dial-A-Lawyer program that will be held on Wednesday, November 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This service is free as part of the MBA’s Serving Our Veterans in the Law initiative.

This initiative also includes a weekly call-in service for veterans struggling with state and federal benefit appeals, and qualified veterans will be matched up with attorneys who agree to represent their case at no charge.

Old and Bold Coalition and Over-The-Rainbow Supper Club

NS Elders of Danvers is proud to provide a safe and comfrotable atmosphere where LGBT (Lesbians, Gay, Bi, Transgendered) seniors are able to meet and socialize while having supper. Old and Bold  meets for a buffet dinner at the House of Seven Gables, Salem on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.

This is an opportunity for LGBT seniors to get out of the house and network with like folks from their North Shore and surrounding neighborhoods.
