CITY O F SALEM
2015 CONSOLIDATED P LAN
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

Please participate in the development of the City of Salem’s five-year Consolidated Plan and one-year Action Plan.
The five-year Consolidated Plan is a document which identifies and prioritizes the housing, community and economic development needs of Salem’s residents, and determines the goals and strategies to address those
needs over the next five years. The one-year Action Plan outlines the activities and estimated expenditure of federal funding for the period of 7/1/15-6/30/16. Funding assists income-eligible households and low- to moderate-income
neighborhoods through a variety of programs, services and improvements.

To obtain broad community input the City of Salem is holding numerous public hearings, neighborhood meetings and focus groups. You can participate in the Consolidated Planning process by attending one or more scheduled meetings shown below and offering comments and recommendations or by providing written comment or
responding to an online poll by 11/25/14. Persons with special needs should contact the Department of Planning & Community Development for reasonable accommodation and provide ample time for the request to be arranged.
