Independent Living Centers in Massachusetts

Contact you legislator and ask them to support a $1.6 million funding increase in the fy'07 budget in line item 4120-4000, specifically earmarked for Independent Living Centers. Click here for background information.

LEARN ABOUT OUR ADVOCACY GROUPS & WORKSHOPS

Community Access Advocacy Team (CAAT) meets on first Tuesday of each month from 2- 4 PM at ILCNSCA main office, 27 Congress Street, Suite 107, Salem. CAAT performs advocacy for accessibility in the community and works to mitigate/erase cultural barriers to persons with disabilities participating fully in all community activities. To join, contact Shawn McDuff at 978-741-0077 x 14 or email Smcduff@ilcnsca.org.

Restaurant Accessibility Survey Project (RASP) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 2-4 PM at the ILCNSCA main office, 27 Congress Street,Suite 107, Salem. Volunteers visit and survey NS and CA restaurants for accessibility. Accessibility survey results are published in this newsletter.
