The ILCNSCA is the North Shore and Cape Ann service and advocacy agency for all persons with disabilities that can assist you with obtaining information about home modification options as well as funding sources including the Home Modification Loan Program ( HMLP ) .
The HMLP is a home modification financing option for homeowners. Judith Tavano, Director of the Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) and Joan Varoski, HCEC Counselor from Community Teamwork Inc. will provide you with information on this loan program at this information session.
Steven Scarano, Adaptive Housing Coordinator for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, will share tips on ways to modify your home to accommodate your disability. Home modifications could include mounting grab bars, widening doorways, building ramps, installing wheelchair lifts/elevators, and/or constructing an accessible shower stall.
