Housing Rights in Salem

Salem residents who have disabilities and other individuals who would like to know about Housing Rights in subsidized public and private housing are welcome. Presenter for this forum will be Attorney Mark Sampson, Neighborhood Legal Services; Tom Murphy, Disability Law Center Inc. Other housing rights information will also be available. Please come prepared with your questions. Light refreshments will be served. Money Smart

ILCNSCA is the North Shore and Cape Ann service and advocacy agency run by and for all persons with disabilities. Living on a fixed income, managing debt, and saving for medication co-pays are issues of many who contact ILCNSCA. We are pleased to give you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of money, debt, and credit management with American Consumer Credit Counseling's Money Management Certification Program. This program of five sessions will help you improve your money management skills and increase your financial awareness. Topics include: budgeting, saving, checking accounts, credit cards, understanding and dealing with debt, understanding credit reports and credit scores. In addition there will be an opportunity for you to get your Credit Report at no penalty to your credit rating. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion as well as credit bureau reporting cards that add a positive statement to your credit reports. Affordable, Available, Accessible Housing in Salem - How to Obtain It and Where It Is

Presenters for this forum will be Carol MacGowan, Executive Director, Salem Housing Authority; Maggie Dionne, Housing Programs Coordinator, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. Please come prepared with your questions. Light refreshments will be served.
